Writers nightmare

This has been some month. I had a Hollywood Production company request my book *Mihte's Quest*. They came back and said they liked the whole story, but it was too dark for US Children's TV Production. It is no worse than the Dr Who series.
A New York animation company looked over my book *Henri and the Alien*. They said it would work and could go ahead if I could put the production and finance together. The publishers I think want to sell on the books and take a profit. They are not prepared to support it despite a cut in the royalties. - Nocci HQ said... at 14:37 on 15/05/2009
So are the publishers of your book stopping you working with the animation company?
Do they think that by taking this contract they would ruin their chances of selling on the book? Surely it would improve chances of further sales/licenses... - Lookman said... at 18:18 on 09/01/2010
It is strange because I have recently optioned two of my books and written screenplays. My animation is still on the shelf and a likely possibility.
