How to run a Nocci

Why run a Nocci event? And a quick "How To" guide....
How to run a Nocci:
1 - Find a suitable venue (preferably with a bar!)
2 - Choose a date and tell everyone when it's on.
3 - Turn up and have fun.
That's it.
It's super simple and very, very effective. It doesn't cost a penny, and is also a great way to boost your profile locally. We'll give you help in setting up a Facebook group/event, and promote it through our mailing list and Twitter friends. We'll also send you loads of hints and tips to help the event run smoothly and efficiently. Then all you need to do is turn up on the night and meet loads of new creative people.
Nocci was set up as a way for people in the creative industries to get together in an informal way for mutual support, advice and relaxed drinks and chat. They can be big or small, loud or quiet, but each one will take on the personality or organisation of the person that runs it.
Why run one?
First and foremost you should want to run a Nocci because you’re friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about what you do, and what other people do. It’s very easy to run an event, should take no more than an hour or so to organise and is completely free. But most of all it’s really good fun and you meet loads of interesting new people. It's an incredible way to meet new people and find out about new projects happening. If you're an organisation or business then it's a fantastic way to raise your profile amongst the local creative business community. We've had reports of increased ability to gain funding, better press coverage and plenty of work coming in. In any case, Nocci puts you at the very heart of all things creative, cultural and entrepreneurial.
