Want to run a Nocci event?
12th July, 2009
We're looking for enthusiastic, smart people to run Nocci events in their part of the world. We're building a fantastic global network of events to encourage friendly, relaxed networking for those in the creative industries. We want to encourage conversations, collaborations, friendships and new ideas.
It's completely free to run a Nocci event, is incredible easy, and fantastic for both you and your local creative scene. Here's what someone with first-hand experience thinks:
"Hi, my name's Bob and I am the director of design agency Tubbyphunk.com. I have now organised two Nocci events in Middlesbrough, UK and I've been amazed by the reaction to them. It's taken very little time and effort, and yet people in our city have flocked to be part of it, and Tubbyphunk's profile locally has gone through the roof. I asked my local bar if they'd mind a group of us turning up (which of course they didn't!) and then set up a Facebook event, and invited some friends and local creative types. Word then started spreading naturally and on the night we had over 50 people turn up, all eager to have fun, chat and network in a relaxed way. I added some of our own touches to the event, like asking people if they wanted to do public elevator pitches, but it was very easy to organise and now there's definitely a better sense of community in Middlesbrough's creative industries. And Tubbyphunk and I are right at the heart of it all!"
You can check out photos of the Middlesbrough events on the Gallery page.
