May Newsletter

20th May, 2009

Hi everyone!

Neil from Nocci here. Summer's coming for those of us in the northern hemisphere and as we've just been working on Noccinet.com the sun has started streaming through the windows.

:-)

We find this time of year to be a really inspirational one, and there's loads of stuff we have in mind to help us all out. We're a very small organisation with very big ideas. But there's only so much we can do at head office. And because Nocci is YOUR network we're asking for our members to pitch in in one of a few very easy ways.

1 - Start a Nocci near you. All you need to do is invite some friends to a local cafe/bar at a time that suits you. And then ask them to invite their friends. You'd be surprised at how effective this is. And we'll help you promote it through Facebook, Twitter etc. We've had Nocci events with just 15 people, and up to 150 people, and they're all just as valuable, and just as brilliant at bringing your community together to make it stronger. Whether you're in Brisbane, Bradford, or Buenos Aries, it doesn't cost a penny and you can run an event with 15 minutes effort.

2 - Forward this newsletter to someone you think might like it, and ask them to join up. The more people that join, the more powerful we are. The more members we have, the more we can push for change and support for those of us who don't fit into the mainstream of business. If everyone forwards it to just one other person....

3 - Give us your news. We're always looking for interesting things to write about on our news page.

4 - Post on the forum. There's some really interesting discussion there, and you never know what contacts you'll make!

5 - Let us know if you know someone who'd like to give us some money! Are you best friends with Bill Gates or the Google guys? ;-) It would be very useful to get a great sponsor on board to enable us to continue doing our work.

6 - Finally, tell us how you want to be involved. Nocci belongs to its members, and we want to hear from you. What can we do? How can we help you? How can you help us?

Thank you!

Also, we're still ironing out a few bugs in the site. It appears some people hadn't received their activation emails recently. We've activated all outstanding accounts and you can log in now.

Don't forget that those of you in the UK have just a few days until Nocci in Middlesbrough. 6pm, 28th May at Uncle Alberts. All the details are on this Facebook page, and it looks like it's going to be a busy one!

And one last thing - follow us on Twitter to keep up to date with lots of interesting creative articles, websites and what we're up to. Or become a fan on Facebook.

Stay in touch,

Neil and the Nocci Team.
p.s. We're getting loads of people checking out the profiles, so if you haven't already made yours look cool with loads of pics etc, now's the time.
